~Americans With Disabilities Act~

The Americans With Disabilities Act requires that employers with 15 or more employees, who work for 20 or more weeks of the year, make reasonable accommodations for workers with disabilities.

Your regional Disability and Business Technical Assistance Center can help you set up your workplace to conform to this law. There are ten DBTA centers. They are funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR) of the U.S. Department of Education.

Their purpose is to provide information and referrals, technical assistance, public awareness, and training on all aspects of the ADA.

You can obtain more information by calling 800-949-4232. You may see their website at: http://www.icdi.wvu/tech/ada.htm
