~Incorporating Out of State~

You are not required to incorporate you business in the state where you are based. You can choose from any of the 50 states or the District of Columbia. However, for small businesses, it is usually best to incorporate in the state where that business is based.

The most "incorporating friendly" states are Delaware, Nevada, and Wyoming. This is because of their liberal incorporation laws and favorable taxes.

Even though it is sometimes more beneficial to incorporate in these friendly states, it can be more expensive and more of a hassle for you to incorporate your small business out of state.

You should consult with your attorney or accountant about the pros and cons of incorporating out of state before making your final decision.
